POEM - Blind Faith In The Enemy Of Us.

You told us what we needed.

That everything you did

You did for us.

The sweat that dripped from your brow.

The blood that coursed your veins.

The pressure that aged you.

All for us, your suckling child.

And we followed you blind.

Listless and lazy to your lies.

Ill-informed and greedy for your lures.

The sweat that dripped from our brows.

The blood that coursed our veins.

The pressure that aged us.

All because of you. And your rotten lies.

You have great power and wealth.

We have joy and always hope.

You look at the land as though it bit you.

We live with the land as it made us.

You have many, many guns,

We have none.

You.

In complete control?
