Book Blog: Companero - The Life and Death of Che Guevara by Jorge Castaneda

Companero does not gloss Guevera’s story with the mists of cult and celebrity that travel with his name, it is a balanced account of his life.
W
hatever your politics Che Guevara may have been a flawed hero but he was certainly the greatest of men.
His path was thrust upon him by his reaction to the poverty and inequality he experienced while travelling through South America. He committed to fight for a fairer system. Such was his commitment to his ideals of equality that as Minister for Industry in the Cuban Government he continued to labour in the fields on a daily basis alongside the workers.

Everyone should read this book, it’s a great read about one of the 20th centuries most enduring heroes.
